Publishing an eBook

Publishing your eBook can be as easy as putting your PDF or ePub file on a website. That is: if you don't mind distributing your book for free. If people read your book and they enjoyed it, you might consider creating an online tip jar that allows them to make a small donations as a token of appreciation for your work. While such an approach is certainly an option, it's outside the scope of this guide. In this guide, we're going to look at different platforms that allow you to distribute your book and get paid for it.

My favorite platform for distributing eBooks is Leanpub, but to make sure I cover as much of the market as possible, I also advise publishing your eBooks on Draft2Digital (including Apple Books and Barnes&Noble), Kobo, and Amazon KDP.
